photo of soccer playerShockwave therapy is a non-surgical and non-invasive technique used for breaking down scar tissue and speeding up the regenerative healing process. Acoustic (sound) shockwaves are sent into the patient’s bones or soft tissue. These shockwaves facilitate an effect that is similar to reinjuring which breaks up scar tissue and promotes regeneration of blood vessels and bone cells.
